1. About this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how QuickResumeAI ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.quickresumeai.com or use the QuickResumeAI service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
We aim to minimize the data we collect. Depending on how you use the Service, we may handle the following:
- Resume and job-posting content you submit. The text you paste into the builder (work history, skills, target job posting) is sent to our backend and to our AI service provider in order to generate or score a resume.
- Profile photo (optional). If you upload a profile photo, it may be stored on our infrastructure to render your resume. We delete uploaded profile photos on a recurring schedule (currently approximately every 6 months) unless a shorter retention is needed for legal or technical reasons.
- Payment information. When you purchase a PDF export, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor (currently PayPal and/or Stripe). We do not receive or store full card numbers. We may receive limited information from the processor (e.g., transaction status, last four digits, billing country) for receipts, fraud prevention, and accounting.
- Contact information. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Automatically collected technical data. Our servers, hosting providers, and analytics tools may log information such as IP address, device and browser type, referring URL, pages visited, timestamps, and basic interaction events. This is used for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the Service working, remember preferences (such as accessibility settings), measure traffic, and (where applicable) deliver marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service (including AI-generated resume drafts and ATS scoring).
- To process payments and issue receipts.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- To monitor for security, abuse, and fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
- To improve our content, marketing, and product, including with aggregate or de-identified analytics.
4. AI Processing
The Service uses third-party AI providers (currently including OpenAI) to generate and refine resume content. Text you submit may be transmitted to these providers for processing. Each provider has its own privacy and data-handling practices, which apply when your data is processed by them. We do not control those providers' systems and make no representations about their internal handling beyond what they themselves disclose. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before use.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share data with vendors who help us run the Service (e.g., hosting, AI processing, payment processing, email, analytics). These providers are required to use the data only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent. We may share information with your direction or consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Payment and transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and anti-fraud rules. Server logs are retained for limited periods consistent with our security and operational needs. Uploaded profile photos are deleted on a recurring schedule as described above.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Service at your own risk.
8. International Data Transfers
The Service is operated from, and data may be processed in, the United States, the European Union, Israel, and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
9. Your Rights (Including EU/EEA/UK and California)
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- The right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete certain information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 16 or older (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to online services, whichever is higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may include links to third-party sites, services, or integrations (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, AI providers, social platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies separately.
12. Marketing and Communications
If we send marketing emails, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email. Transactional messages (such as receipts and security notices) may continue regardless of marketing preferences.
13. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to these signals, and we currently do not respond to them. We aim to honor recognized opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
15. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Policy or want to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at Gvina-Web-Group@googlegroups.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
